Thank you for your support of the National Ability Center and the children, families and veterans we reach. It is because of your generosity that new families, long-time participants, volunteers and others in our community are empowered to discover the possibilities that exist within each of us.

The National Ability Center celebrated record numbers of participants in 2014, engaging individuals and groups of all abilities in 22,250 lessons, helping build self-esteem, confidence and lifetime skills through sport, recreation and educational programs. Inspired by the personal success and resilience of our families, we strategically invested in innovative programs and equipment, new communication strategies, and training and education initiatives. These targeted efforts have been guided by our vision to inspire individual achievement and to generate large-scale impact for people of all abilities.

On a global note, we were thrilled to cheer on 18 international athletes from nine countries with ties to the National Ability Center as they competed in the 2014 Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Team USA inspired 52 hours of media coverage, redefining the reality of possibility for all viewers. Paralympic sports continue to be an integral component of program offerings at the National Ability Center, providing role models to young participants as they witness others with similar challenges achieving their dreams.

This past year also marked the tenth anniversary of Red, White & Snow, our three-day signature culinary, wine and ski festival held every March. The support and buzz surrounding the 2014 event made it our most successful Red, White & Snow to date, and provided necessary funding to cover nearly one-third of our total program costs.

Always exciting are supporters like you, of all ages and abilities from around the world, who step up to share our mission, give back and inspire others to get involved. While we at the National Ability Center put forth every effort to broaden our reach in empowering people of all abilities, it is your support that makes this possible. Together we can create a global impact for people of all abilities.

Sincerely,

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & 2014 BOARD PRESIDENT Broadening Our Reach, Expanding the Possibilities
