Our Governor-Elect, Dr. Celia Earle, has set her goals for the 2015-2016 year. Among other things, she wishes to get back to the basics of Kiwanis by living the six objects of Kiwanis. These permanent objects are: (1) To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life; (2) To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships; (3) To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards; (4) To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship; (5) To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities; and (6) To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill. I invite each of you to think about these objects and what they mean for us as individuals and as Kiwanians. A Message from your President
This month, and next, I shall speak to you about the plans of our
incoming Governor. Our Governor-Elect, Dr. Celia Earle, has set her
goals for the 2015-2016 year. Among other things, she wishes to get
back to the basics of Kiwanis by living the six objects of Kiwanis.
These permanent objects are: (1) To give primacy to the human and
spiritual rather than to the material values of life; (2) To encourage the
daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships; (3) To
promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and
professional standards; (4) To develop, by precept and example, a more
intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship; (5) To provide,
through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships,
to render altruistic service, and to build better communities; and (6) To
cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and
high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness,
justice, patriotism, and goodwill. I invite each of you to think about
these objects and what they mean for us as individuals and as
Kiwanians. I hope all of you are having a great summer! …………..President Todd Brister

Kiwanis International Convention, 9 amendments were presented with the results
being that 6 were approved and 3 defeated. See the details at: www.kiwanis.org. The
one that will most affect all of us is that international dues will be going up by $10 per
year, beginning Oct. 1, 2015. If we are not represented we do not get to vote.
