Dear Neighbor,
The Town of Oyster Bay “2014-2015 Distinguished Artists Concert”
series will, once again, offer a diverse season of musical and
dance programs, which will kick off in October. Whether your taste
runs from opera, jazz, dance, cabaret, pop or classical, there is
something for everyone.
The concert season begins on Sunday, October 5th, 2014 at the
Bethpage Public Library with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan
Players. The concert series continues through Sunday, May 31, 2015
culminating with a performance from Rhonda Denet and the Silver Fox
Songs Trio’s ‘Mostly Motown.’ This season’s lineup also includes
Almonte, a Latin-Jazz ensemble, Breakdown- a Tom Petty Tribute,
Savannah Sky- the best of Country, Rockabilly and Western Swing,
Ballet Long Island, Manhattan Opera Association, and Long Island
Piano Duo- One Piano, Four Hands, just to name a few.
My fellow Town Board members and I are proud to provide
residents with the very finest cultural and performing arts
entertainment, all free of charge and held at conveniently located
local libraries. Please take a few moments to glance through the
brochure and begin planning your entertainment schedule. I look
forward to seeing you at the concerts.
Sincerely,
JOHN VENDITTOTown Supervisor
