Myth vs. FactMyth: My wisdom teeth aren’t bothering me, so I
don’t need to have them removed.
Fact: Wisdom teeth don’t always need to beremoved. Some people’s mouths are large enough toaccommodate their growth, and others have wisdomteeth that don’t come close to erupting. However ,there are many times when wisdom teeth should beevaluated for removal even in the absence of anyform of discomfort, in order to prevent possible
cysts, infections or impact on the adjacent teeth.
