A Message from the CEO~ Merle Lacert

Hello Members,

Fall is upon us, as we look to enjoy the remaining days of warm

weather. The fall, also marks the start of a new Chamber cycle, as

the Chamber looks to complete a new series of meetings, events

and luncheons. Assisting the Chamber this year are five new

Chamber Directors, we are excited to welcome these new

Directors to the Chamber as they look to assist us in our

planning, discussions and engagement with our community and

membership.

The Chamber will continue hosting many events and luncheons

as we look to gain insights, offer information to our members,

and advocate on matters that are important to our members. I

encourage members to check out our events calendar on our

website www.princealbertchamber.com to see all our planned

events and luncheons.

As our new cycle begins, the Chamber will look to bring our

members together to gain insights into areas that have brought

our region some challenges; such as labour, regional priorities

and taxation. The Chamber will look to gain these insights

through hosting various round tables discussions with our

members. The first of these will be on September 11/2013 as we

host a luncheon and round table discussions with the Honorable

Hon. Kellie Leitch, PC, MP, Minister of Labour and Minister of

Status of Women.

I encourage all members to see what we are up to and to engage

with us through feedback, discussions and participation in our

events and luncheons. Our Chamber committee’s; Investment &

Growth and Government Affairs will continue to identify and

work towards resolutions for the various priorities that emerge

from the valuable work these committees complete.

I look forward to continued discussions with the membership,

and hope to see you at our next event.
