Board of Directors

A Message from the CEO~ Merle Lacert

Hello Members

It finally appears that spring has arrived, hopefully any resulting

flooding will not have major effects on our community.

With spring comes a time for renewal, and just as with nature

the Prince Albert Chamber is continuing to review our priorities

and main objectives for the next year.

Part of our renewal process is to also seek new or replacement

Directors for our Chamber Board. Our nomination process for

new Directors opened in April and continues until May

10/13. The Prince Albert Chamber is looking to attract new

Directors that will accent our Board composition so that we

result in a Board that is representative of our Business

Community.

Our Samuel McLeod Awards, were a great success this year. The

Awards were kicked off with a great Legacy Brunch on March

27/13 and concluded with our Awards show on April 9th

/13. I

would once again like to congratulate and thank all Finalists that

participated in the years awards process. Many great Prince

Albert & Area business were highlighted and recognized for

their accomplishments. As always this event would not be

possible without the support of all our Samuel McLeod

Sponsors. So, a huge thank you to all our sponsors who

assisted in making this year’s show a great success.

Saskatchewan’s economy is growing and that means there are more jobs available than

ever before. Unfortunately, the number of workers is not growing at the same rate so many jobs go unfilled and businesses cannot grow to their full potential.

By improving the productivity of people and businesses however, this loss of potential can

be greatly reduced. Attending a Productivity 101 workshop is your first step in creating a more productive and profitable business or organization.

By attending this workshop you will learn the basics of what productivity is and how it is applicable to your business. Some of the things that you will learn include:

Productivity basics

The value of productivity improvement to your own organization

What tools, programs, and services are available to your businesses or organization

How to start your journey of productivity improvement

The three pillars of productivity

The workshop will be delivered by Mr. Sebastian Panciuk, one of Productivity Alberta’s

productivity experts, who will be in Saskatchewan to facilitate this first series of Productivity 101 workshops throughout the province. The workshop is approximately three hours long, with

adequate time allowed for questions during and after the workshop. Mr. Panciuk is currently the Manager of Business Development and Advisory Services at

Productivity Alberta. He is a proven leader with over 12 years of experience in managerial and supervisory team building. He has obtained his MBA and a Bachelor of Education from the

University of Alberta, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University College. His attention to detail, problem solving ability, communication skills, business acumen, and positive

energy provide him with the necessary skills to guide you on your productivity journey.
