Toon up your career with this 16-month, full-time Animation
Production Course. Designed by twofour54º tadreeb in
partnership with Cartoon Network, this course also had the
help and guidance of the UK’s National Centre for Computer
Animation (NCCA) at Bournemouth University.
The course is designed to train high-quality storytellers and animators
from the region, using traditional hand-drawn animation techniques
combined with the latest in digital, state-of-the-art animation production
tools, as well as 3D character animation using Maya. To help provide a
solid foundation for creating new animated productions that reflect the
humour, culture, values and heritage within the MENA region.
Animation is about great storytelling and memorable characters. This course
allows students to gain a deep understanding of the principles of animation and
the technical skills required for their creative implementation. Students get to
know and apply the individual steps involved in taking an idea from the concept
stage to a finished animated production. Additionally, the course is designed
to develop the skills needed to critically assess and analyse animated work.
The Animation Production Course is delivered in 4 trimesters of which 3
are 12 weeks of duration and the 4th trimester is delivered in 14 weeks
dedicated to the Final Project. In collaboration with Cartoon Network,
the course will be accompanied by 3 master classes, each of 1-week
duration, focusing on in-depth information and specific needs,
presented by a highly regarded and internationally established
animation artist.

Joining the academy was one of the best choices I’ve made. The things I’ve learned, the people I’ve met... this experience is beyond my expectations! I knew I had animation in me but not to that extent, especially looking through my work amazed me how much a person can learn in a short period of time.
