The mission of Wildlife Conservation Film Festivals (WCFF) is to inform, engage and empower audiences about the protection of species and habitats that are critical to the survival of our planet.

We produce signature events nationwide that screen some of the finest independent films from around the world covering topics across fields of natural history and conservation biology. The WCFF shows in a powerful visual forum how wildlife preservation impacts our day-to-day lives. Specifically, our films connect the dots between saving species from extinction and preserving the Earth’s precious resources of food, water and clean air for our own survival.

Now in its fourth year, the New York WCFF attracts a diverse audience that leaves our screenings inspired and filled with renewed purpose to get involved. The WCFF has become a must-attend event for thought-leaders in biodiversity, film and major conservation organizations.

We are proud to present audience members with the rare opportunity to engage in conversation with filmmakers and conservationists directly.

Christopher is an environmental scientist with graduate studies in marine biology and vertebrate paleontology. He has worked as a field researcher, laboratory scientist and teacher at multiple natural history museums. He worked at Miami Metro Zoo to put himself through graduate school. Christopher’s first job out of college was as a biology teacher and later an administrator. At the time, he was the youngest Principal for a public school in the state of Florida.

While a graduate student Christopher conducted fieldwork and research to study the Pleistocene Mega fauna fossils that were deposited over 10,000 years ago. His study of these extinct species led to his concerns for preserving biodiversity and was a significant factor in the founding of the WCFF. Christopher was one of the first scientists to conduct underwater vertebrate paleontology research. He is a professional advanced scuba diver with over 2,500 logged dives. He is President of the International Exploration Society (IES), Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, member of the Ocean Geographic Society, friend of American Philosophical Society and a Board Member of the Pet Philanthropy Circle.

Christopher was the Founder & Chairman for the Young Friends of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology and was a Steering Committee Member of the Junior Council of the American Museum of Natural History. He is an accomplished wildlife photographer for over 20 years and the Founder & President of Wildlife Conservation Film Productions.
