Principal’s News Dear Parents and Carers, Thank you to parents and carers for returning the recent survey regarding the Kluwell Reading App. It was great to read such positive comments as well as some suggestions as to how the app could be improved for ease of use. The school has purchased the reading app following on from the trial and we will continue to use the app for 2020. Students can unlock reading awards on the app and, as in the past ‘number of nights reading’ certificates will be printed and presented to students at our Week 8 whole school assembly each term. Welcome to 2020 Barbecue Our ‘Welcome to 2020’ barbecue takes place this evening at 5.30pm. Our families K-6 and Little Learners are welcome to attend. Thank you to those of you who have returned the note offering food/donations for the evening. Please note also that our students are raising funds to support those affected by the recent bushfires. Please note that information sessions will take place in our classrooms at the following times: K.1 - 5.30pm Stage 1/2 - 5.45pm Stage 2/3 – 6.00pm

K-6 weekly in School Sport For the remainder of Term 1 students across K-6 will participate in funded Sporting Schools clinics. For the next few weeks students will participate in AFL skills and following on from this participate in a weekly cricket skills clinic. Young Leaders Conference 2020 Our school leaders, Mr Powter and Miss Grigg will participate in the annual Young Leaders trip to Sydney this coming weekend. Mr Powter has organised an amazing trip for our school captains and we are all super excited about attending! Friday Lunch Orders Please note there will be no lunch orders tomorrow. Order forms for lunch orders on Friday, Week 6 will be handed out to students at the Monday morning assembly. Little Learners Little Learners will commence tomorrow at 9.30am and conclude at 12.00pm. Students require a packed lunch, water bottle and a back pack to keep all of their belongings. For the safety of our students please enter through the front school gate for student drop off and collection. Parent Teacher Interviews A reminder that during Week 6 we will host parent teacher interviews. If you have not yet returned your note and wish to have an interview with your child’s teacher please return the interview slip that was sent home last week. Please remember to best communicate your concerns and questions about your child’s progress at school an interview must be scheduled with your child’s class teacher. A sheet with the allocated times is attached, these were given on a first returned basis.
