JACK LONDON VINEYARD Since our first vintage from the Jack London Ranch in 1976 it has proven itself as an outstanding producer of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Located midway up the Eastern flanks of Sonoma Mountain it has a long mild growing season that creates fruit with complexity and balance. The influence of the vineyard’s red volcanic soil and the fruity characteristics of the grapes combine to produce an outstanding, very distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon. FROM THE WINEMAKER The second year of the historic California drought, the vintage of 2013 provided fruit with particularly intense and extracted character. Harvest began in late-September and progressed for several weeks as the different vineyard blocks slowly ripened. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel, and then aged in 75% French and 25% American oak barrels for 24 months.
