Interstate Municipal Gas Agency May/June 2013 Issue 69 2013 IMGA ANNUAL MEETING RECAP The 2013 IMGA Annual Meeting was held in Spring- field, Illinois on April 9th at the Northfield Inn. Members en- joyed great food and informative sessions on natural gas 101, aging pipeline infrastructure, and potential new oil and gas de- velopment in Illinois. The day started with a hearty breakfast buffet sponsored by BP Canada, which was followed by the IMGA Business Meeting. During the business meeting, it was decided that the board officers would remain the same as last year. Following the business meeting, David Tucker of At- mos Energy Marketing discussed Natural Gas 101. We then heard from, Darin Burk of the Illinois Com- merce Commission on the aging infrastructure of the pipeline industry. After Darin’s presentation, members enjoyed a deli- cious Prime Rib and Shrimp buffet sponsored by Panhandle Eastern Pipeline. After lunch, Brad Richards of Illinois Oil & Gas Association spoke on the potential for new oil and gas development in Illinois. At the conclusion of the day, IMGA General Manager, Heather Viele, had the honor of drawing names for the door prizes donated by the following sponsors: BP Canada Atmos Energy Marketing Northfield Inn, Suites & Conference Center. IMGA would like to thank all those who were able to attend, your participation made the day a success! IMGA and Illinois State University Renew Contract
IMGA is pleased to announce that Illinois State University has renewed their contract to continue purchasing gas from the agency. Their contract has been extended through 2017. Illinois State University is the oldest and one of the largest public universities in Illinois. It is located in the twin cities of Bloomington-Normal. The campus has close to 1000 acres with more than 140 buildings. IMGA is pleased to continue their relationship with Illinois State University.
