LOCAL VENDORS COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITYAs a Land Grant University, UNH is committed to sup-porting and advancing the state’s agricultural economy. Small, family farms are not only part of our state’s heri-tage, but play a vital, active role in our current economy and culture. In recogni-tion of the many benefits a vibrant agriculture affords in NH, our Local Harvest initiative raises awareness and educates students, staff and community members about our local agricultural landscape and its role in sustaining our physical and economical health and well-being - now and in the future. As part of this initiative, UNH Dining provides foods grown and produced locally, many organic, in all of its locations. We continue to offer cage-free eggs, local honey and organic Fair Trade coffee to our extensive menu of local goods. In addition, UNH Dining provides collection services and financial sup-port to the UNH Compost Program managed by the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA).
