2012 PRE-COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAMS Colleges and Universities offer a wide variety of programs for high school students who want to do more on their summer vacations. These programs offer excellent opportunities for students to learn about college majors, meet people with similar interests, interact with college professors and experts in their fields, visit college campuses, and get a feel for college life. Programs, which last anywhere from a few days to two months are available in countless fields-from act- ing and computer science, to law and engineering, to medicine and environmental science. Some colleges may even of- fer these programs for college or high school credit, while others are available for self-enrichment.
