If you were in one of our contemporary worship times in October or November, you have likely al- ready seen Will Davis— “that blonde guy with the guitar” standing next to Beth. He’s played and sung with us at both William Cannon and Brodie, but his responsibility is to lead our Brodie folks in worship each Sunday. You may not have had a chance to chat with him yet, so consider this your first conversation— Hi, everyone! I’m thrilled to be leading worship at the Brodie campus. How did I get here? I learned how to play guitar and began leading worship in high school. (Yes, I’ve been doing this for a while now.) I’m actually a lo- cal Austinite — I went to Hyde Park Baptist School and then when I graduated, I moved to Waco to attend Baylor University. I got a B.A. in Psychology there. I enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, and moun- taineering— though I’ll be doing a lot more wa- ter-skiing than climbing here. See you on Sun- days!

The day has arrived! It’s on the air!December 3rd, 7-9 p.m.! ABC (KVUE, here in Austin)is at last showing the Bastrop episode of ExtremeMakeover: Home Edition!

Why are we so excited? Because not only was this a really cool project, helping a familywho lost their home in the 2011 Bastrop fires, but SHPC DISASTER RESPONSE IS INTHE SHOW! That’s right, along with other teams from all over central Texas, SHPC’sown Disaster Response Team, led by Tary Snyder, was out there in the dark & cold lend-ing a hand to make things happen. ● There are angels for victims of humantrafficking on the tree.

● Meals on Wheels gives us gifts for ourtree. They are so appreciative of theSenior boxes we give them and were soimpressed with our angel tree, that theytook angels to buy ten bikes, trikes andscooters for children.

● We have 417 angels on the trees thisyear.

● We still need volunteers to help sortgifts during the week of December 10and we need help delivering during theweekend of service December 15-16and later, if needed.
