Lincoln Lake is a Christian ministry that hosts summer camps and year-

round activities for children, youth, and adults. These activities are offered

to all diversities of race and ethnicity, denominations, and socio-economic

backgrounds. Our purpose is to teach campers the truth from God’s Word,

and facilitate genuine life change as we point them to Christ. “Lincoln Lake

exists as an outreach of the local church, using the unique atmosphere of

camping to evangelize and disciple individuals through the Word of God.”

Our ministry is named after the lake our campus borders. The camp

property is located on the eastern shore of Lincoln Lake, in northeast Kent

County, Michigan. Our campus consists of 22 buildings across 73 acres of

playgrounds, athletic fields, woods, and natural wetlands. The campus is

approximately 35 miles from downtown Grand Rapids and contains almost

one mile of frontage on Lincoln Lake, which is the second largest lake in

Kent County. The property provides a destination for adults and children to

experience the wonders of God’s creation.

Since our exciting beginnings in 1938, our ministry and impact has grown

exponentially. In 2010, more than 1,800 guests attended Lincoln Lake

sponsored-events. During summer camp alone, over 400 spiritual decisions

were made by children and youth who attended. An additional 2,200 guests

attended Lincoln Lake as part of private rentals. Sharing our campus offers

an opportunity to share the love of Christ to other non-profit groups, local

churches, and public schools.

Because we view the local church as the body and bride of Christ, we make

decisions based on what is better for you, not us. This shows itself in two

primary ways. First, we seek to bless our guests with a clean, comfortable

setting and a caring customer service staff. In addition, we seek to offer

these accommodations at an incredibly low price. Our prices throughout

this publication reflect our intent to offer a place for ministry at a price

that won’t detract or distract from the real work at hand. Offering the best

programs and accommodations does us no good if no one can afford to come.

We hope, and expect that you will find Lincoln Lake as the finest value in

Christian camping!

Thanks for considering us!

This new Lincoln Lake event is born out of my conversations with older men. These men were not afraid to warn me of the dangers of sin, and their impact on my family, my job, my ministry, and my relationship with my Heavenly Father. This has been one of the most equipping parts of my journey into Godly Manhood. Join me and other young men like me as Pastor Chris Weeks (Kent City Baptist Church), teaches us what a Godly Man looks like, shows us lies about what a man is, and helps us learn how to tell the difference.” - Jim Lockwood, Executive Director of Lincoln Lake
