Unlike anything we have ever been a part of, Circuit Riders is a 5 week long seminar running from July 7th-Aug 12th here in Kona seeking to equip nearly 300 leaders (YWAM and non-YWAM) with a focus on cultivating intentional centers of discipleship all over the world. In its very nature it is an acknowledgment to men like Francis Asbury and John Wesley who have gone before us as raw evangelists into the hardest and darkest places. This week marks the start of an incredible gathering that we are ever excited to be staffing and pouring into over the summer.

PRAY: Pray that these 300 young leaders will never be the same and that a new movement of radical obedience to the simple gospel will be birthed through them across the world!

Circuit Riders is a great springboard for what we will be launching into this September! We are so excited about this opportunity to train new missionaries and to engage in transforming communities to be more like Jesus! So far we have about 30 students accepted into the DTS but we are expecting the school to reach about 75-100 students! The goal is to implant a radical vision of discipleship and holistic gospel that will translate into intentional Jesus-centered communities being planted all over the earth. The Community Transformations DTS begins with a 12 week lecture phase here in Kona, followed by a 12 week outreach to the nations, followed by whatever the Lord calls our students to for the rest of their lives!

PRAY: Pray for clarity and mobilization as we seek to develop the right staff team for this DTS. Pray that nothing (not visas, or finances, or families, or anything) would keep any students from joining us who feel the call. Pray that Jesus would be glorified through us!

BABY SCHALLERT: THE DAY APPROACHES

48 days and counting until babyʼs due date! Itʼs really mind blowing to realize that before we know it little Baby Schallert will be in our arms. We are so incredibly excited to invite her into this world and into our journey of hope. We know that surely she will have so much to teach us as we continue to live out this missional life through the grace of God.

Since being back in Kona much of our time has been spent simply trying to get ready for the big day. We moved into a new place close to the YWAM base (what a miracle), have been visiting our midwifery every two weeks, took a couple intensive weekends of natural childbirth classes, celebrated our third wedding anniversary and have been trying to rest whenever we get a free twenty minutes.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for your incredible generosity throughout this pregnancy. There is no way we would be resting as easy as we are without your endless prayers, presents and partnership. It has filled us with such confidence as we prepare to continue the call as a growing family.

PRAY: We welcome any and all prayers in this season as the day approaches. We thrive off them! Pray for good nights rest, health for the little one and the peace of Jesus to be with us.

The Documentary, which is the culmination of a nearly two year campaign to address Human Trafficking within the USA, is officially finished! The team is now set to hit the road on a 50 state screening tour to share the message. Make sure to check out the film website, get educated and see when they will be visiting your state!

We are also excited to announce that photogenX has published a brand new book campaign entitled “Act Here, Love Now” which came out of the 2009 Around The World Track which we helped staff in South Africa. Itʼs really a beautiful project. You can check out the campaign and snag a copy of the book on the photogenX website.

Well, it only took us three and a half years, but we are excited to announce that we finally have a personal missions website up and running! We will still continue to develop newsletters, but now we have a permanent online platform for you to keep up to date on all things concerning The Schallert Tribe. The website features up to date news, both of our personal blogs, social networking feeds, a permanent photo gallery, information on the various ministries and projects we are involved with and information on how you can get involved.
