    he CPFIM is a nationally recognized accreditation focused one investment of public funds. Participants will learn basic levelills, tools, and fundamental concepts of investment portfolioanagement. The course is designed for participants who havemited knowledge of cash management and public fundsvesting, and those looking to expand their knowledge base on

    Debt Policy Certification - Utilizing APTUS&Cs Debt Policy Manual, this programassists you in certifying your organizations debt

    policy by establishing debt financing policies foryour organization considering todays tighterregulations and laws.

    und Balance Reserve Policy Certification - This is APTS&Cs NEWEST certification. In conjunction withtablishing a debt policy, rating agencies are looking for fundlance reserve policies.

    dvanced Certified Public Funds Investment Manager

    CPFIM) Accreditation Program - After completion of thePFIM, APT US&C recommends successful completion of the

    CPFIM. This program will be 3-4 hours long and has twoajor themes; Analysis and Strategy. In the first module of the

    training we will discuss how to analyze the fixed incombond markets and to quantify the risks of your portfolio. Whave an emphasis on measuring todays biggest risk, intere

    risk, and understanding duration and convexity.

    The second part of the ACPFIM is building the right strategtodays market. In this module we will discuss putting togegame plan for taking advantage of opportunities and avothe some of the pitfalls in every market. The goal is to heldevelop a written strategy and become a disciplined invThere is a big and important difference between just purchinvestments and managing your investment portfolio.program will explain the difference and assist you in becoan effective portfolio manager.

    Following the program there will be a 35 Question Examonly prerequisite for the course is to be a Certified PublicInvestment Manager (CPFIM).

Attendees will receive traininformation on developing internal policies and procedures to manage cash in an efficient and organized manner. Learning to leverage technology to enhance accountability, accuracy and imrformance is critical to managing financial resources. Some of the topics to be covered at this years conference include Data Secutsourcing Information Technology, Going Green in the Workplace and Cyber Crime.

    e Debt Management track will address the appropriate uses, types and levels of debt. Attendees will learn about bond structure, principbt finance, and the latest GASB pronouncements.

    Todd HustTodd Huston knows how to overcome incredible challenges. At age 14, his legs got caught in the proof a boat, radically changing his life forever. He battled to keep his legs with numerous surgeries, budisease eventually forced him to have one leg amputated. In time, Todd became a psychotherapis

    clinical director of the Amputee Resource Center in California. He used his professional skillpersonal experiences to help patients and health-care professionals to achieve more in their livecareers. Then Todd did the unimaginable, to prove that you can survive challenges, he completed a record-setting Summit America expedition by climbing the highest elevations of all 50 states in ondays 22 hours and 47 minutes, shattering the original record by 35days! Todd has been featurthousands of publications throughout the world, including Sports Illustrated, Forbes and Wall Journal as well as the popular book, Chicken Soup for the Soul-A Second Helping. He has appearespecial guest on CBS Year in Sports and Robert Schullers Hour of Power. Several distinguished hhave been awarded to Todd including U.S. Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Americans, the HenAward for Outstanding Citizen Athlete, the Class Act Award, and the American Red Crosss EveHero Award. Todd is the co-author of the book More Than Mountains: The Todd Huston Story and hinspirational radio and television programs.

    hen Steve Hewitt took the job as City Administrator for Greensburg, Kansas, in 2006, there was nothing extraordinary abown of about 1,400 people. Less than a year later, however, everything that was Greensburg was gone. On May 4, 2007, one

    rongest tornadoes on record obliterated almost every house, telephone pole, tree and business in Greensburg, leaving 11 pad and most of its residents homeless. Determined not only to salvage his hometown, but to recreate a model of energy efficd sustainability, Hewitt never considered giving up. Hewitt knew a quick recovery was necessary, but he also understooreful planning was critical. The plan included land use and placement of buildings and infrastructure, as well as initiativtract business opportunities and create new jobs under the decisive goal to rebuild Greensburg as a model green communityan included more than 80 different projects totaling $100+ million. He is the leading charge for rebuilding sustainmmunities. Hewitt was recently named Governing Magazines 2009 Public Official of the Year; City and County Maga

    008 Municipal Leader of the Year, for his efforts to rebuild his community green. Greensburgs new policy garnered the sulocal, state and national organizations and agencies that promote green building. More publicity has come from the Disc

    he Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is a tribute to those who were killed,
