Manager Notes
As we welcome Spring we bid farewell to many of
our Winter residents ~ we look forward to your return next winter
and we say Hello to our New Residents…Welcome to Lake Hammock Village.
At our April HOA Meeting a new „guest parking‟ permit will be
implemented. As a resident of LHV you know that our Rules &
Regulations, as well as our owners have requested, that „Parking on
vacant lots and/or on your grass‟ is prohibited. Since we have limited
parking for our guests the new „parking permit‟ is to allow our overnight
guests, and/or any parking time of over 2 hours, in the vacant lots. This
„parking permit‟ must be obtained from the office and will be dated. The‟
permit‟ should be placed on the dash of your visitor‟s vehicle.
Residents are NOT allowed to park in the vacant lots or in your yards (this
includes golf carts). Please do not get upset if you decide to ignore this rule
and receive a notice on your car or in the mail. Also, as per our rules and
regulations, if you continue to ignore this rule your vehicle may be removed
from the vacant lot at the vehicle owner‟s expense. Thanking you in advance
for following this Lake Hammock Village Rule and Regulation.
When sending my office emails I have a few email addresses
that are invalid. If you have changed your email address or are
not receiving my emails and would like to be on the office email
list, please give me a call or stop in and update your email address. Thanks…
Thank you residents for slowing down in our community….Obeying
our 15 MPH speed limit is very much appreciated by all residents
and has been noticed by many, as well as the „speeding complaints‟
have dropped off.
Happy Easter
Renee

Facts about APRIL "April showers bring May flowers"
DAISY and the sweet pea are the flowers of the month.
April was the second month in an early Roman calendar, but became the
fourth when the ancient Romans started using January as the first month.
The Romans called the month Aprilis. It may come from a word meaning 'to
open', or it may come from Aphrodite, the Greek name for the goddess of
love.
Small animals that hibernate are usually coming out of their burrows in
April. The birds fly back northward or they settle down to have their
families. The bees and butterflies begin to gather nectar from the first
flowers of the season.
In some parts of the world, it's planting time. In other parts, it's the
harvest season. Professional baseball begins in April. Then the amateur
athletes begin to go outside in the warm weather. Spring cleaning starts
and people start mowing their yards again.
Special days celebrated in April begin with the first day of April, when
children and grown-ups play jokes on one another. Arbor Day is a day for
planting trees, and it is observed on various April days. The Jewish festival
of Pescah (Passover) is celebrated early in April. Easter is almost always in
April, and, with it comes other Christian celebrations such as Palm Sunday,
Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.
Diamond is the birthstone for April
The Revolutionary War in America began on April 19, 1775, when
British soldiers and
American revolutionaries clashed in Massachusetts.
William Shakespeare, the playwright, was born on April 23, 1564. He
also died in Massachusetts in 1616.
Feast day of the Patron Saint of England is April 23.
The Vietnam War ended on April 30, 1975, when South Vietnam
surrendered.
