M ichael Levin, who teaches phi-losophy at the City Universityof New York, is the author of
the race-realist classic -ters. It remains to this day one of themost rigorous and exhaustive treatmentsof the evidence for racial differences in
IQ and what those differences mean for social policy.
Prof. Levin paid a high price for taking up this subject. From the late1980s to the mid 1990s, Prof. Levinwas the “academic racist” liberal NewYork loved to hate. The forward to the2005 edition of his book describes what happened when word of his racial views
“The uproar was immense. It did not
matter that Prof. Levin’s students of allraces pronounced him scrupulously
fair; or that in philosophy lectures henever mentioned race. Demonstratorsdisrupted his classes and physically pre-vented him from speaking in public. The

A New York City editorial writer wrotethat he was ‘a horse’s ass.’

Even the Lefties Are Waking Up—at Least in Europe
L is a major French daily
founded by Jean-Paul Sartre in1973. For years it had a hard-

In 2008, for example, to celebrate thestudent revolts of 1968, it turned over editorial control for one day to a groupof students from Nanterre University, not exactly a bastion of conservatism. The following article about the continu-ing problems of non-white immigrationin Holland is therefore all the moreremarkable.
