Kodak’s First Consumer Mobile Marketing CampaignKODAK GOES MOBILE WITH QR CODE CAMPAIGN– Kodak made a Facebook post to their fan page on
May 3rd, announcing their first ever consumer-facing mobile marketing campaign, using QR codes.
– The QR code campaign launched in March 2011 and is expected to reach 2 million people in more than 50 countries.
– QR codes will be printed on Kodak packaging, POS material and in-box user guides across 9 models of digital cameras & pocket video cameras. The first products with QR codes are rolling out to retail stores in April, with the rest soon to follow.
– Even though digital cameras & PV cameras don’t compete with our HP IPG products, this announcement may be a sign that Kodak could be making plans to also put the QR codes on their printer packaging.
