Beginning the Pincurls
Make a “C” shaping on each side of the head
Make sure shapings are have forward movement
Shapings should be diagonal

Carving
Use rat-tail comb Slice out hair for pincurl Use correct amount of
hair Carve out from the
ridge

Ribboning
Hold the base firmly Run comb through the
ends If necessary, repeat
Ribboning separates the hair. It creates smooth ends and less frizz.

Clockwise No-Stem
Roll hair the direction of the wave
Circle sits directly on the base
Ends must be tucked in Hair is smooth

Parts of A Pincurl
For a no-stem pincurl, there are two parts.
Base
Circle
A no-stem pin-curl creates the most volume and curl.

Use single prong clippies
Clip THROUGH the base
DO NOT clip across the circle
Clippies must face the same direction

Counter-clockwise No-Stem
Roll hair the direction of the wave
