The ignition MUST be turned OFF before installation!This module is intended to be used in conjunctionwith Power Commander 212-410

PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION

Before this module can be used the Power Commander must first be updated.

(see included instructions)

1 Remove the seats.

2 Remove the left hand side mid fairing.

3 Prop the front of the fuel tank up.

4 Place the ignition module next to thePCIII and route the harness towardsthe front of the bike going down theleft hand side of the frame.

5 Remove the left hand bolt for the fueltank bracket (Fig. A). Loosen theright hand bolt.

6 Route the igntion module harnessunder the fuel tank bracket (Fig. A).

7 Route the ignition module harnessalong the left hand side of the frameto the front of the airbox and go underthe frame.

Note: This can be done without removing theairbox.

8 Unplug the stock wiring harness(Fig. B).

This connector is located on the lefthand side of the cylinder head.

9 Plug the Ignition module harness in-line of the stock wiring harness(Fig. C).

10 Locate the crank pickup coil connec-tor (Fig. D). This is a BLACK 2 pinconnector that comes from the righthand engine cover. It is located underthe throttle bodies next to the fuelconnection of the PCIII

Unplug this connection.

11 Plug the BLACK connectors from theIgnition Module in-line of the stockwiring harness and crank pickup coil(Fig. E).

12 Attach the ground wire from theIgnition module to the negative sideof the battery (Fig. F).

13 Install the ignition module in the tailsection of the bike. The unit can beinstalled in two locations. Moving thetool kit towards the rear of the tailsection makes the installation easiest.

14 Plug the white 10 pin connector fromthe ignition module into the expansionport of the PCIII. If you are using aquickshifter then unplug the quick-shifter from the PCIII and connect tothe expansion port of the igntionmodule harness.

15 Bolt the fuel tank back into place andreinstall the bodywork.

Make sure the wiring harness does notget pinched when reinstalling themain seat.
