Christian Dior Fall 2014Couture

The silhouette of this dress with an widened lower part is supported by a inner structure. Also with its relatively short length, the dress looks back to women’s fashion in the late 18th century, when dress became simpler and less elaborate than earlier eras.

ChanelFall 2014Couture

This last piece of show was especially worn by a pregnant model Ashleigh Good. The long white gown combines simple texture with exquisite embroidery in front and on the cloak. Although the decoration is more complicated and the volume is wider due to the special situation, the silhouette and the high waist references to the “Empire gown” in the early 19th century.

Gareth Pugh’s design are always avant-garde and have some-thing to do with arts. This piece of clothes is sculptural and experimental. It maybe not wearable and practical in daily life. However, this single piece definitely helps to make the whole collection very impressive.

Issey Miyake as a brand keeps its own tradition of giving clothes this kind of creative three-dimensional profile. On this particular piece, not only is the contour line three-dimensional, but also the basic pattern.
