Columns are used for displaying information side by side.c. Line Spacing controls the distance between lines of text. Spaces between lines are placed for purpose of emphasis or for clearer presentation of texts
CUSTOM BULLET IMAGES
For creative presentations, Bullets can also be customized. To do this, follow the steps in the illustration to create a custom bullet from an image
CHARACTER SPACING
The Text Box is an essential command in PowerPoint. Go to Insert ► Text ► Text Box to make newtext boxes that serve as the container for texts.
Activity:
1. Create two package deals on this slide. For example, one for Boracay and another for Puerto Princesa Palawan. First, insert a text box by clicking Insert ► Text ► Text Box and enter the package details.
2. Since there are two tour packages, we are going to use columns to separate the two packages. To do this, select the text box > Home ► Paragraph ► Columns ► Two Columns.
In case some texts in Package B appear on the first column, some adjustments to the text box is necessary. To do this right click on the text box ► Format Shape…Format Shape dialog box appears, click Text Box ► in the Autofit section click the Do not Autofit radio button ► Close. Then drag the bottom point of the text box up until Package B is on the second column.
3. Change the formatting of the text to make it more attractive by applying the following settings: a. All text - Home ► Font ► choose your desired font, for example: Tekton Pro; font size used in the exercise is shown in the illustration below. b. Highlighted text in the illustration - change the Line Spacing between these lines by highlighting the desired text(s) ► Home ► Paragraph ► Line Spacing ► choose a setting, for example 1.5.
4. Customizing bullets add personalization or give a signature to presentations. To do this, first select desired text(s) that is already bulleted then click Home ► Paragraph ► Bullets drop down ► Bullets and Numbering… ► Picture… ► Import… ► find the desired image to import > select the imported image ► Ok.
5. Texts with multiple columns sometimes have a tendency to look close to each other and make it look like it is just one word. One way to solve this without changing the font size is by changing the character spacing. To do this, highlight the desired text(s) then click Home ► Paragraph ► Character Spacing then choose desired setting, for example More Spacing… ► Spacing: Condensed and space size By: 0.4 pt.
6. To add design to the presentation, do the following: a. Click Insert ► Illustrations ► Shapes ► Rectangle b.
