investigations are summarized as follows: two (2) were e.ccidentAl discharges resulting in injury to naval personnel; the third investigat.ion was the result of an accidental shooting which resulted in the injury to a member of the naval service; the fourth investigation concerned the dro~~ing of a member of this command; the fifth investigation was conducted to determine the circwustanoes surrounding the report of a MIA in Company 11 H 11 , 3rd Battalion, 1st Narines, which occurred while that unit was attached to this battalion: the sixth investigation was conducted to ascertain the cir- · cumstances surrounding a fire 1'Jh1ch destroyed government property in excess of twenty-five (~25.00) dollars.

6. Personnel Administration: A total of six officers fitness reports were submitted and one hundred and thirteen Enlisted Fitness He"'Jorts completed during Me.y. There were six increases of "Q 11 allotments registered and sixty-three orders to adjust e.ccounts were forward.ed to the Regimental Disbursing Officer. Three officers and one hundred and nine enlisted mer, joined the Battalion from replacement drafts while two officers and seventy-eight enlisted men were rotated back to the CONLUS.'
7. Medfls anft Awards: The Battalion Commander awarded eightyeight Purple eart Medals during Hay to personnel wounded as a result of enemy action. Twenty-two Good Conduct Medals were awarded during the same period.
