B. The main external factors that control the rate of photosynthesis are light intensity,

carbon dioxide concentration and temperature. Study the given graphs and answer

the questions that follow : - (05)

Graph – A Graph – B

1. State the relationship between CO2 concentration and light intensity from graph – A.

a. If the temperature is high, plant enzymes become ………………………………

(denatured / active) decreasing the rate of photosynthesis.

b. If the temperature is low, plant enzymes become ……………………………….

(denatured / inactive) decreasing the rate of photosynthesis; therefore,

photosynthesis is found to be highly sensitive to temperature.
