X is a binomial distribution, with N = 20. If it is symmetric, what is Mean?

• Mean = NP• It is symmetric, therefore P = ½• Thus mean = 20 * ½ = 10 answer.


N = 16, then what will be the maximum value of variance of X,

(binomial distribution)?• Variance = NPQ• The maximum variance will possible if P =

½ and Q = ½• 16*1/2*1/2 = 4 answer.
