CONCLUSIONS

• Peach genome is structured in big blocks of variability

• In general, each breeding program has its own pattern of variability (breeder+ “founders”+ breeding location imprint)

• A deep view of genome-wide variability can be used to:

• localize genes

• direct the variability for crosses

• manage the variability in a germplasm collection
