TROOP INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE M2 SYSTEM If you have not received an invitation to register, please contact your Service Unit Fall Product Sales Manager.

Step 1 – Set up system access to M2 and Update Contact Information • You will receive an email invitation from M2 that explains how to register and get started. As the email will explain, you

will be taken to www.gsnutsandmags.com/gsci to set up your password. Once set up in M2, you will have access to your Troop Dashboard which allows you to manage your troop, send messages to your girls, enter/verify Face2Face nut/candy orders, verify reward choices and view reports. Girl information will be preloaded into the system for all registered girls.

• Girls may launch their online campaign and begin selling as soon as they receive their program information. • A girl in your troop whose name does not appear should be directed to the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana website fall

product sales page where she will find the link to the M2 system to register. Leader should then go to the fall product sales page to complete an online form indicating the girl’s names missing from the M2 system.

Step 2 - Add Girl Orders into M2 • Parents may enter their girl’s Face2Face nut and candy orders into the M2 system during the sale. The deadline for

parents to enter all Face2Face orders for their girls is 11:59 p.m. October 15. All online sales will be automatically tabulated by the M2 system. The leader must enter any orders not entered by parents during the sale into the M2 system. To add girl orders from the troop dashboard, choose Paper Order Entry and click the pink pencil next to the girl’s name. Enter her nut and candy items by variety from her order card.

• Rewards are automatically calculated. Parents/girl and Leaders may view the rewards earned online in the M2 system. If there are choices or size options, these selections can be made here and should be finalized before midnight on October 16.

• Once a girl has earned her personalized patch, the registered parent will receive a confirmation email with instructions for entering the delivery address for this patch. If the home address is entered as instructed, this patch will be delivered directly to the girl’s home. During the registration process, girls will be given a choice of having their Me2 avatar in her uniform or a spacesuit. Be sure that girls know patches will be shipped as earned, so they should be comfortable with their choice before completing the registration process.

Step 3 - Submit Nut/Candy Order • Troops have until 11:59 PM on October 16 to enter paper orders for any girls/parents who have not done so themselves.

Since order information is automatically transferred, there is no submit button. If changes are needed after this date, contact your Service Unit Fall Product Sales Manager immediately for assistance.

Step 4 – Payment for Nut/Candy Order (October 18) On October 17, payment invoices will be posted to Payer Express. Troops must have an invoice to be able to log into the Payer Express system. (Note: If you used this system during the 2017 Cookie Program, all accounts from the cookie program have been deleted and will need to be set up again) Payment must be scheduled by your troop. To pay your troop fall product sale bill you will:

• Return to the M2 system and click “Financials” near the bottom of the home page to double-check the amount due council.

• Go to www.girlscoutsindiana.org/en/cookies/fall-product-sales.html • Click on the link to pay your fall product sales bill. This will take you to our secure online cookie payment website. Use

your troop’s 5 digit troop number to login and the service unit number given you by your Service Unit Fall Product Sales Manager as a password. You can create an account or make a one-time payment

• You must pay the full amount due. The invoice will reflect the total amount that your troop owed as of October 17. • Follow the instructions to make your payment using your troop’s bank account number and routing number. • You can opt to receive an email receipt of the transaction as proof of payment.

Reminders • We recommend taking cash and credit cards. Check the council’s website for setup information • If the troop chooses to take checks, the troop will be responsible for any checks and that do not clear the bank

(including fees). We recommend you only take checks from people you know and are comfortable contacting if there is a problem.

Step 5—Picking Up Product/Rewards

• Your Service Unit Fall Product Sales Manager will provide a date, time and location to pick up nuts, candy and rewards. Please count and recount product and rewards before signing for them.

PROCEEDS, REWARDS, AND AVATARS

PROCEEDS • Troops will keep 10% in proceeds plus girl rewards. • Service Units will earn a reward card of $10 for every troop that sells at least $100 in product

(Face2Face and online)

NEW THIS YEAR • Online tips for navigating the fall product sale and M2 system are available on the Girl Scouts of

Central Indiana website. • Girls may choose from over 3 billion avatar combinations when earning their avatar patch! They

will love creating their very own digital avatars this year with many wardrobe and accessory assets to choose from.

• Promise orders are here. A customer can order nut/candy items online and have them delivered to their home by a Girl Scout. This allows customers to avoid shipping charge but also to pay online using a credit card so no cash or check needed!

RETURNING THIS YEAR • Food Pantry Project—Girls may take $5.00 donations to earn a special patch. The council will

order the product and deliver to food banks serving the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana area.

Troop Bonus Troops who have combined sales of $1500 will earn the following to help them hop smoothly into the 2018 Cookie Program:

• A trunk organizer to help keep cookie paperwork and cookie boxes together

• A bank bag for keeping all of the cookie money you collect in one place

• Create your own fall avatar patches for 2 adults in your troop
