UDPAC is thrilled to have him back after last year’s outstanding performance. Andy has been taking the Irish American scene by storm for the last 20 years. His unique tenor voice has been heard in concert halls internationally, including two sold-out performances in New York’s Carnegie Hall. Daniel Rodriguez, America’s Beloved Tenor, came to light during one of the darkest times of our nation’s history. He was the New York City police officer whose amazing voice comforted a grieving nation in the days following 9-11-01. He continues to inspire, stir and embrace his listeners through his recordings and memorable live concert performances. Michael Amante is affectionately known as the People’s Tenor. With Michael’s long history of singing popular Rock and Gospel music, coupled with extensive classical Bel-Canto training, he is able to sing with a strength and mastery rarely heard anywhere in the world. Since his title role performance of Oliver at age 6, he has been delighting audiences from all walks of life with the effortless, unabashed power and style of singing. Who can forget the emotional moment when Daniel Rodriguez, the so-called “singing policeman,” helped America heal with his stirring rendition of “God Bless America” after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001? Rodriguez unites with Andy Cooney and Michael Amante as three of New York’s premier voices join together to honor the city of New York and our great nation as the one and only New York Tenors! FOUR TRADITIONS, ONE VOICE. A high-energy celebration of polyphonic rhythms, Spoken Hand Percussion Orchestra unifies four percussion batteries into one distinct voice: North Indian tabla, Afro Cuban bata, Brazilian samba and West African djembe. They link the past and the present, the sacred and the secular with a symphonically textured fusion of traditional and contemporary drumming and choral compositions. Spoken Hand is a two-time winner of Philadelphia City Paper’s “Best World Music/Roots Performance.”

When his granddaughter Jenny comes for a visit, Farmer Brown declares the farm a “tech-free zone.” The cows find Jenny’s laptop in the cold barn and type messages requesting blankets. “No way,” replies Farmer Brown. “No blankets!”
So the cows go on strike and the chickens join the cows in solidarity. No blankets: no milk, no eggs!
Will Farmer Brown give in to the animals’ demands? Will Jenny get her computer back?
Find out in a hilariously “mooooo-ving” new musical about negotiation and compromise, based on the Caldecott Honor Book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin.
