Please read this manual before riding with your new helmet! This manual and the sticker inside your helmet con-tain instructions and warnings about your helmet. Carefully read and follow these instructions. Incor-rect use or maintenance of your helmet could void your warranty and, most importantly, could result in serious injury or death. If you are a parent or guard-ian and this helmet is for your child, please take the time to read this manual and make sure that your child understands these instructions and warnings.

(b) The helmet is designed to be re-tained by a strap under the lower jaw. (c) To be effective, a helmet must fit and be worn correctly. To check for correct fit, place hel-met on head and make any adujstments indi-cated. Securely fasten retention system. Grasp the helmet and try to rotate it to the front and rear. A correctly fitted helmet should be com-fortable and should not move forward to ob-scure vision or rearward to expose the forehead. (d) No attachments should be made to the helmet except those recommended by the helmet manu-facturer. (e) The helmet is designed to absorb shock by par-tial destruction of the shell and liner. This damage may not be visible. Therefore, if subjected to a se-vere blow, the helmet should be destroyed and re-placed even if it appears undamaged.

(f) The helmet may be damaged and rendered ineffective by petroleum and petroleum products, cleaning agents, paints, adhesives and the like, without the damage being visible to the user. (g) A helmet has a limited lifespan un use and should be replaced when it shows obvious signs of wear. (h) This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other activities where there is a risk of hanging or strangulation if the child gets trapped whilst wearing the helmet.

Please note that no helmet is indestructi-ble and will not prevent all head injuries. No helmet can protect against all possible impacts, and serious injury or death can occur even while wearing the helmet. Helmets can reduce or may prevent injuries, but even a low speed impact can result in serious injury or death. This helmet is intended solely for pedal cycling, skateboard-ing or roller-skating but even these activities are inherently dangerous. See illustration 1. While no helmet can guarantee your safety, wearing a helmet, taking lessons, riding responsibly and within your skill level and abilities, as well as us-ing common sense, can all reduce the risk of seri-ous head injuries. This helmet is not intended for motorsport, moped or similar activities, and do-ing so shall void the warranty. See illustration 2.

Please note that it is necessary for children to re-move their helmets before entering playgrounds or while climbing trees, walls or other structures. This helmet should not be used by children while climb-ing or doing other activities when there is a risk of strangulation/hanging if the child gets trapped with the helmet. This product is not a toy. It is sports equipment and is designed and intended for sports. Your helmet is intended to reduce the harmful effects of a blow to the head. Accordingly the helmet must fit properly, be worn properly and be taken care of properly.

For maximum protection the helmet must be fit-ted and attached properly to the wearer’s head in accordance with the manufacturer’s fitting instruc-tions found below.

The helmet will only protect your head if it fits cor-rectly and sits horizontally on your head. If the hel-met slips when the head is turned to the side then the helmet is the wrong size. See Illustration 3:

• Make sure you wear the right size for optimum comfort and security. • Start by positioning the helmet on your head so that the front is level with the back and parallel to the ground. • Do not pull the helmet over your forehead as this reduces your sight. • Do not push the helmet towards the back of your head as this leaves your forehead unprotected. • Adjust the helmet by using the head ring and straps described below. • Check the adjustment before every ride. If after adjustment the helmet does not fit pro- perly, do not use the helmet.

Optimum fit:

Adjusting the head ring. See illustrations 4 and 5. The head ring tightens or loosens the helmet around your head. It is adjustable. Use the small wheel at the back to expand or decrease the cir-cumference of the head ring until the fit around your head is steady and secure.

Adjusting the straps:

The helmet is designed to be retained by straps un-der the lower jaw. See illustration 6. When you try on the helmet for the first time, please adjust the straps so that they meet tightly and comfortably beneath your ears. You adjust the straps by opening the triangular lock and then locking it again when you have found the right position. See illustration 7. The lock on the chin strap is child proof and must be secured properly before every ride. Listen for the “click” to know it is properly fastened. See il-lustration 8.

If you choose to cut the chinstrap, leave a protru-sion of approx. 2 inches or 4 cm above the lock. Have an adult heat the cut ends carefully with a match to prevent the webbing from unravelling. Be careful with high heat near the helmet because the strap and helmet are flammable. Be careful to avoid contact with melted nylon.

Run the chinstrap through the lock as noted below and use

the “O-Ring” to secure any excess strapping. See Illustration 9.

In the event of an impact or blow, do not use this helmet. The helmet is designed to absorb shock by partial destruction of the shell and liner. There may be damage to the helmet that is not visible to the user and the helmet may be no longer ade-quate to protect the head against further impacts. In the event of an impact or blow, even if there is no visible damage, the helmet should be re-placed with a new one and the old one destroyed.

The helmet can be damaged by contact with com-mon substances (for example, certain solvents [ammonia], cleaners [bleach], paints, petroleum products or abrasives), and this damage may not be visible to the user. Do not use this hel-met if it has been exposed to such substances.

• Regularly check the helmet for signs of damage. • Do not apply stickers or paint to the helmet as
