The Green Center The Green Center is an arts and environmental education organization located in the heart of UCity. If you feel like exploring and learning about native Missouri habitats, you can do so in the comfort of your own neighborhood. The Sutter-Meyer House This is the oldest house in University City and it is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely worth the visit for its historic and monumental significance. This organization brings beautiful gardens and landscapes to many different areas of UCity, so keep an eye out for their gardens when you're walking around the neighborhood. UCity in Bloom The Ackert Walkway is a secret pedestrian pathway that runs from Delmar Road to Vernon Avenue. It's great, because it also connects Wash-U to the Loop, and it is a safe and convenient way for students to frequent it. Ackert Walkway University City Dog Park This little fenced in park is a dog's paradise, so if you have a dog, definitely check out this gem of a park. Regional Arts Commission The Regional Arts Commission is located in The Loop, and I'll bet you didn't know that it functions as an exhibit, performance venue, and a headquarters. Fun Fact: The RAC is the largest nonprofit funder of arts in the region. Painted Lions There are colorful painted lions located in various parks and landmarks across UCity, and if you are feeling especially adventurous, try to find them all. This particular lion is perched on top of the Rec Center in Heman Park.
