The admissions process at the University of Utah promotes student success by assessing student preparedness and academic potential in the context of each applicant’s personal experience. Transfer applicants will be considered for admission after meeting all of the following requirements:

•Previousgraduationfromanaccreditedhighschoolortheequivalent(e.g.GED).

•AcumulativeGPAof2.6orhigher.Studentswhohaveanassociateofartsoranassociate of science degree from a regionally accredited institution may be admitted witha2.35GPAorhigher.

•Applicantswhohavefewerthan30semesterhourscompletedatthetimeofapplication are also required to submit an official high school transcript and official ACT/SATtestscoresusingschoolcode4274forACTand4853forSAT.

•Foradditionaladmissionsguidelines,contactinformationforyourAdmissionsCounselor,andmoreaboutthetransferadmissionprocess,visitadmissions.utah.edu/transfer.

Transfer Leap is a one-semester program designed to integrate transfer students into the University of Utah. It also takes care of a general education requirement. Formoreinformation, visit bit.ly/transfer-leap.

All admitted transfer students must attend a mandatory New Student Orientation, where they learn more about campus life, degree and graduation requirements, and meet with an academic advisor to register for courses.
