Site SelectionWhy ABACAN?

The location is an urban community with a poor connection to the river.

The area is expanding and the city is proposing to revitalize the Abacan growth corridor.

Area is already a beautiful location, and creating a successful river corridor could build economic and social growth that would ensure the community’s future.

footnote to Abacan’s significance in the province, especially in Angeles City where its tributaries situated.

It aims to restore the aesthetic appeal of the riverbank to the residing community, which will give a great link in incorporating it through an ecological solution.

PeoplePositive Response Loop Environment

The notion of classifying the spaces from the natural environment will be incorporated in the entire design and planning.

The creation of a matrix development within a riverside setting requires scheming for further interconnection of the tenants to the natural environment will be a key element for the project’s success.

The Abacan river channel became a potential settlement for the indigent people.

It drew more threats to the life of individuals since flooding phenomena in the riverside has becoming destructive and critical.

significance

Abac

it is a potential way to incorporate urban

landscape and riverscape planning to maintain the quality of life in the area instead of increasing the vulnerability of riverbanks communities when catastrophes happen.

The study investigates the relationships between environmental and social parameters associated with developing riverfront corridors and a matrix community through providing an approach for creating new strategic design and planning innovation for the parcels of land near Abacan river channels.

development of the Abacan Riverfront as a growth corridor provides enough means by which will relink the people to the natural habitat of the riverbanks of Abacan.
