152nd Session of the Kentucky Annual Conference
Annual Conference Guide
12 September 2019
Grace to the 152nd Session of the Kentucky Annual Conference!
Thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Robert A. Strode, St. Paul, and those who have
given of themselves for our comfort and productivity. We appreciate
the hospitality of the greater Lexington Area once again.
Special thanks to the presiding elders, pastors and laity for your
sacrificial service. You met the challenges of institutional life with love
and courage. Without you, we could not be what we are.
Our thematic focus this year is Economic Justice! We are also mindful of
the need to look beyond gender as we pursue justice. The gospel calls
us to this very life where the distribution of resources should not be
weighed by the bias of privilege, whether of race, class or gender. We
must always see People as People, and seek to love them.
Let us praise God who has given all things and made all of us from one
blood. Rise above selfishness and faithlessness to advocate for equity
without regard to the differences which should not matter.
Give emphasis to what is truly important: a loving heart and a faithful
life.
Supervisor Susan joins me in saying thank you for eight special years of
service. We appreciate your prayers and loving support.
Faithfully,
Jeffrey N. Leath
