Street

Page 2: 1.4

There are new neighbours arriving in Deasil Street. The new residents are a set of twins who are moving into number one, Trinity and Belladonna Darkstone.

Page 3: 1.4

Warren popped out to welcome his new next-door neighbours. He thought they seemed alright. A nice couple of girls.

Page 4: 1.4

Trinity went up to introduce herself to the other occupied homes, and was well received. She was glad to have moved into such a friendly street.

Page 5: 1.4

But Ariette was not as pleased as she had pretended to be. Were these sisters part of “the gothic’s”? They were not the kind of people she wanted on HER street.

Page 6: 1.4

Ariette calls a meeting with Warren, Paulo and jen about oreserving the tone of the burgeoning street.

She invited round to her home the other residents she thought of as being more ‘her’ kind of people. Albeit not as well bred. She discussed her worries and Pablo agreed with her immediately. Warren was not as quick to judge, and Jen stayed quiet, intimidated by her surroundings.

Page 7: 1.4

Warren kept Teresa up to date with the streets gossip. He planned on going to the Martinez’ latest dinner party despite their feelings over Trinity and Belladonna.

Page 8: 1.4

Needless to say, the Darkstone sisters were not invited.

Page 9: 1.4

They ignored the sounds of merriment from down the road, and spent the evening quietly getting on with their hobbies.

Page 10: 1.4

Trinity was disappointed with the situation developing in the Street. She knew Appaloosa Plains was a pretty staid community, but she and her sister hadn’t displayed any anti-social behaviour.

Page 11: 1.4

Trinity worked out her frustrations on the treadmill, before doing some research on the area. What kind of people traditionally lived here, and was the recent expansion of the town changing peoples attitudes?

Page 12: 1.4

Pablo had decided to impress Ariette Vickers, so his party was a formal occasion for once. Jen had panicked and opted for a ball gown, when her guests arrived her choice made her feel increasingly uncomfortable.

Page 13: 1.4

Despite her background in politics, Jen was not coping very well. She’d been out of the loop for a while, and was keenly feeling how far behind she was falling in terms of knowledge and public profile.

Page 14: 1.4

So Jen avoided interacting with the guests by creating a role for herself, she played the piano as entertainment. While she played, she didn’t have to go through any mortifying small talk.

Page 15: 1.4

Pablo however was in his element. He was schmoozing the higher ups from his company, the local elites and minor celebrities… he kept the liquor and conversation flowing.

Page 16: 1.4

He put particular effort into impressing Ariette. She was his ticket to society parties (or so he thought), and spent some time discussing the Darkstone problem.

Page 17: 1.4

As the guests left, Pablo stared at his wife in disappointment. She hadn’t been the sparkling hostess he needed. At least her playing was decent. When he got a phone call through, it didn’t take much for his to abandon Jen to clean up and head out.

At breakfast the next morning, Belladonna informed Trinity she needed to do some work, they had to get together a few months mortgage payments before she could relax.

Page 19: 1.4

Trinity smiled to herself. Her sister handled the domestic stuff, and she made the money. It suited her, she loved what she did for their living.

Page 20: 1.4

Trinity waited for darkness to fall, wondering how tired she would by the morning. Belladonna watched her sister prepare with practiced ease, she couldn’t let on she was concerned every time she sent her twin out.

Page 21: 1.4

Trinity hopped in her car as twilight approached, and made her way to the outskirts of town.

Page 22: 1.4

She made her way to an old shack by the hills, and disappeared inside. What on earth does she do for a living that would have her in a place like this? It seems suspicious. Could Ariette be right about her?

Page 23: 1.4

But how could the owners of such a cute little kitten possibly be in any way the bad guys?

Page 24: 1.4

The next morning, Jen made hangover cures while Pablo kept a low profile.

Page 25: 1.4

All he could think about was the blonde he had met up with last night. By the time He’d slunk home, the house had been spotless and Jen had gone to bed.

Page 26: 1.4

Out in the street, Teresa finally met Ariette Vickers, and let her know that she and Warren would make their new neighbours welcome.

Page 27: 1.4

Ariette could tell she and this woman would not get on. But no matter, she was just some housekeeper. Warren could afford her for now, but he wouldn't forever.
