Univention Corporate Server (UCS) is a high performing and easy-to-use so-lution for the operation of servers – ir-respective of whether they are flexibly applicable working group servers, high-performance authentication systems or complex server networks for system virtualization. Thanks to its flexible and solid architecture, UCS is ideal for use in small companies and in organisations with thousands of users.

The integrated UCS management sys-tem, which employs state-of-the-art web technologies, is optimised for the central administration of classic servers and use on the cloud. However, it also connects cloud-based services with classic IT and as such allows the flex-ible and efficient application of modern IT offers.

UCS combines tried-and-tested Open Source software into a consistently elab-orated solution and is a very economic alternative to its competition. UCS sup-ports the use of PCs based on Microsoft-

» The Univention Management System is the universally accessible »head- quarters« for the administration of your IT infrastructure, the users ac- cessing it and their rights.

» Even in demanding environments with a range of external sites or with ap- plications operated by different cloud providers, for example, it ensures that all the components work together seamlessly and every user has ac- cess to the information he requires for his work.

/ Directory and basic services

» UCS offers extensive Microsoft Ac- tive Directory-compatible functions and is thus an ideal platform for the operation of clients with Microsoft Windows, without the need for an additional Microsoft server operating system. Existing Active Directory en- vironments can be easily integrated and can be replaced with UCS if re- quired.

» Scalable file services allow the provi- sion of central file archives and tar- geted user and rights management.

» The UCS printer services allow server- supported print cycles and facilitate the administration of printer drivers.
