PROJECT INFORMATION SHEET

LOCATIONThe proposed project is located at the intersection of Platteview Road and Nebraska Highway 50 (N-50) at mile marker (MM) 82.60. The proposed project would extend approximately 1,100 feet west and approximately 800 feet east of the intersection on Platteview Road. Construction may begin and/or end approximately 500 feet ahead of or beyond the actual project limits to accommodate transitioning the pavement.

PURPOSE AND NEEDThe purpose of this proposed project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public. The need for this project is based off a recently completed traffic study of the intersection.

SCOPE OF WORKThe proposed project would involve widening and/or replacing pavement, installing a traffic signal, and roadway lighting modifications.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULEConstruction of the project could begin as early as spring of 2021 and could be completed by fall of 2021.

ACCOMMODATION OF TRAFFICThe proposed project would require a temporary closure of Platteview Road west of N-50. A designated detour would be provided and would utilize 156th Street, Fairview Road and N-50. The remainder of the project would be constructed in phases with lane closures controlled by appropriate traffic control devices and practices.

RIGHT-OF-WAYThe proposed project would require the acquisition of additional property rights, which could include new right-of-way (ROW), control of access (CA), permanent easements (PE), and/or temporary easements (TE). If your property is impacted by this project, you will be contacted by a representative once the design footprint has been established. Access to adjacent properties would be maintained during construction but may be limited at times due to traffic phasing requirements.

POTENTIAL IMPACTSNo wetland or environmental impacts are anticipated.

ESTIMATED COSTThe estimated cost of the proposed project is approximately $1.4 Million. Funding for the project would derive from federal, state, county and city funding sources.
