OPENING ACTIVITY ̣ MY TESTIMONY

INTRODUCTIONAn important part of personal witnessing is being able to share something personal about being a Christian and the impact Jesus Christ has had in your life. Everyone’s story is diff erent. You may have been a Christian since childhood, accepted Him into your life as a child or young adult, or salvation may have come during an exceptionally challenging moment in your life. Regardless of how you came to know Christ, He has impacted every moment since and brought you here to this workshop today.

Matthew 4:19 — And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fi shers of men.

OPENING ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONSTake a moment while we’re waiting for the workshop to start to jot down some thoughts that you could share to demonstrate the impact of Christ in your life to someone who has yet to receive Him. Start with your salva-tion story, or how He guided your steps to an encounter where the life or teachings of Jesus impacted you. When you have an encounter with a pre-Christian, you may only have a few minutes to share an impactful personal moment. What do you think you could share in a minute or two?Tip: You may wish to share your brief testimony with the group during group introductions.

CALL TO COMMITMENT

1 Corinthians 3:6-9 — I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

I will commit to…

1. Live an _________________ Christian life.

2. Faithfully ______________________ the Gospel.

3. _____________________ God for the results.

GROUP INTRODUCTIONS

When it’s your turn, take a minute or two to share:• Your Name• Impactful Moment of Faith / Brief Testimony• Personal Objective for this Workshop

WELCOME!

INTRODUCTIONCongratulations on taking the next step in your faith journey! It’s inspiring when a Christian decides to share their faith with others. This workshop will help prepare you to take that next step by building on a Biblical foundation. Acts 1:8 states, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me...” The Holy Spirit empowers us to be witnesses. The Holy Spirit also convicts “the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” (John 16:8) In this workshop, we’ll present and practice a suggested approach to conversational evangelism, and then equip you with knowl-edge, tools, and best practices to take away and continue to improve, so that you are better prepared for your next divine encounter.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES1. What is the Gospel?2. Why Share the Gospel?3. Basics of Sharing the Gospel4. Tools and Resources5. Call to Commitment

ACTIVITYSpend some time praying that you will have an open heart and mind to what God wants to show you during the workshop.
