Booth King’s appointment was to the steel fabricator William Hares Limited with a brief to provide structural engineering solutions for the temporary stability during erection. Key Facts Working closely with the fabricators, erectors, the main contractor, Bovis, and the building’s designers, Arup, we provided structural engineering services which included the design of temporary steelwork to stabilise and support the primary frame and megastructure in 15 storey increments until such time as the external diagrid has been prestressed and may be relied upon to take lateral loading.
