If you saved the previous version offline, you must delete it and replace it with the current version (please use the link below) (version 2013-09). The Employer Sav-ings Analyzer tab can help you illustrate the employer’s annual potential cost savings with Group Medical Bridge as part of their health care plan solution. The health care cost assumptions have been updated and rating areas are consistent with those established under health care reform, which will allow you to accurately demonstrate the potential value of Group Medical Bridge. To help you understand and use the tool, see the attached FAQ document., which is reprinted in this issue on pp. 12-14, inclusive. Health care reform does not impact Group Medical Bridge and the need for benefits communication and education remains a very relevant part of employee benefit packages. Here’s that link: https://my.coloniallife.com/producers/Products/Supplemental%20Health/Group%20Medical%20Bridge/Sales%20Quote%20Tool.aspx The Group Medical BridgeSM sales quote tool allows you to produce a quote with a plan that best complements the account’s major medical plan. You can produce a quote even if you don’t have a census for the account. Employer Savings Analyzer Tab The Employer Savings Analyzer tab integrates the Group Medical Bridge quote with the employer’s current and pro-posed health plan design. It also has the flexibility to illustrate potential savings based on the geographic location (ACA rating area) if you don’t know the health plan details. Important reminders when using the quote tool: To use the Employer Savings Analyzer, you must select monthly rates as the Premium Frequency on the Selections tab in the quote tool. The quote tool can only be used for accounts under 1,000 lives. You must have Microsoft Excel 2007 or Microsoft Excel 2010 to use the quote tool. When using the quote tool the first time, you should review the instructions in the tool. When quoting Plan 1, you must select at least one employer-optional benefit. In most states, these include:

Accident Only Emergency Room Visit Benefit

Health Screening Benefit

Second Day and Subsequent Day Benefit (available with the $5,000 Hospital Confinement Benefit) Product Training

Before using the quote tool, make sure you learn all the product details for Group Medical Bridge by reviewing the Product Reference Pamphlet and passing the product mastery test through Colonial Life College
