This picture was taken with my project facilitator, Mrs. Carrnes, on
the first day I met with her. We talked about healthy options for
the cookbook.
In this picture, I sat down with my mother and went over all her recipes. She told me which ones to include and helped me rewrite the
ones that I couldn’t read.
I invited my aunts to over to my house. We talked about my project, and they each
gave me all the recipes that they wanted to include in it.
Here I am emailing my grandmother to figure out a good time for her to come over and cook with me. We set up days
that would be best for my grandmother to come over and teach
me to make each meal.
After I had all the recipes from my grandmother, aunts, and mom, I sat down and typed up all 45 recipes. This was very time consuming task and took me a few
days to complete.
This picture was taken while I was editing the printed rough draft of the cookbook. Once I had this printed out on paper,

computer.
This picture was taken while I was fixing my last revisions that Mrs. Carnes told me to make before taking it to be
printed.
This was my third trip to Fed Ex Office to print my final edited version of the cookbook. After much frustration, we were able to get it to print just the
way I wanted.
These are the final prints of my product! My aunts, my mother, and my grandmother each got their own copy.

cookies, and my grandmother’s brownies all which I cooked on Thanksgiving Day
Made dinner for my family this night. I choice my favorite recipe from the cookbook, fried
rice. I served it with my Aunt Becky’s Broccoli Salad. For dessert, I made my mom’s No-bake
Cheesecake.
In this picture, I made my mom’s famous guacamole dip and served it to my sister and her friend for a
late midnight snack.
