Since the Summit is held on an island, all participants are expected to use the transport organized by FBN Colombia.

Please meet us on Wednesday 27 May in Cartagena, at Club de Pesca, at 3:00

pm in order to leave for Isla de Baru.

For those of you who will not attend a pre-summit learning journey we

recommend you to arrive in Cartagena on the 26th.

Please make sure to book your hotel

room for the additional night(s). A list of recommended hotels with negotiated

prices will be made available on the Summit website

Meet with the rest of the group in the airport El Dorado in Bogota. Flight to Leticia, Amazonas. Meet and Greet service at airport in Leticia. Transfer to Hotel Waira. Lunch at the Hotel Waira. Visit to the town and its riverfront market place where you will see

artisanal commerce of local goods (fruits, fish, medicinal herbs and more). Visit to the Ethnic Museum to see the exposition on the Ticuna y Huitoto

native tribes. Visit to Santander Park where hundreds of parrots gather for the sunset. Visit to the town of Tabatinga (brazilian side). Rodizzio dinner in a traditional brazilian restaurant. Return to the Hotel Waira.

MAY 23th

Leticia- Mocagua - Puerto Nariño - Tarapoto - Jungle Breakfast at the hotel. Transportation in local boats to visit La Isla Mocagua. Transportation in local boats through the Amazon River to Puerto Nariño

village. This small village is home to the people of the Ticuna, Cocoma and Yagua native tribes. Lunch at Puerto Nariño. Visit to the Natutam Foundation. Natatum Foundation is an NGO that

partnered with the native tribes to protect the amazon habitat and important animal species in the Amazon River such as manatees and pink dolphins. Transportation in local boats through the Amazon River to the Tapoto Lake.

The lake is sacred to natives tribes and a feeding spot for pink dolphins and manatees. Lesson on Piranha fishing. Hike and tour of the Amazon jungle. Monkeys, parrots and armadillos are a

few of the many animals that may be observed during the tour. Arrival at camp in actual jungle where the native tribe Ticuna, of Tarapoto,

will be the hosts for the night. Dinner is based on a seafood diet. On request mojojoy worms, ants, tucupo

(black chilli) and other exotic foods may be served. Accomodation will be in hammocks that will be protected by mosquito nets.

Transportation in local boats to visit "Isla de los Micos " (Monkey Island). Guided hike through the ¨Isla de los Micos¨. The island has an área of over

450 hectars and is home to thousands of various species of monkeys. Lunch at Kuripira. (floating cabin in the amazon river). Return to Leticia. Free afternoon to enjoy hotel accomodations and the

town. Farewell dinner at the restaurant “Tierras Amazonicas”. Return to Hotel Waira.
