PurposeThe purpose of the May meeting of MRUG is to build Mysore’s Ruby community, member by member, such that every attendee can learn more Ruby, hear or tell about Ruby work going on in Mysore, plan with the group to solve real-work problems, and rave about the quality of the meeting to his friends.

Results (Vision)• Get a chance to strengthen or create bonds and to network.

• Get better in Ruby by working through structured exercises together.

• Deepen our comfort level in Ruby with an ad hoc tech Q&A session.

• Work on a central go-to point for Mysore RUG: the website MysoreRuby.org.

• Give and take advice based upon a real project.

• Watch some of Andy Grimm’s Ruby Tapas videos.

• Get some quick programmer tips.

A!nda2:30 - 2:45 Tom will open the meeting. Socialising. Questions.2:45 - 3:45 Tom will lead a working session devoted to working through

RubyKoans, continuing where a group of us left off it.

3:30 - 3:45 Questions from anyone on Ruby and Rails, answered by anyone.

3:45 - 4:15Tom will introduce a group presentation on the experience of 4 programmers working (more or less) together on mysoreruby.org.

4:15 - 4:30 We will watch 3 or 4 of Andy Grimm's Ruby Tapas videos (about 5 minutes each).4:30 - 4:45 Lightning Talks

4:45 - 5:00 Questions, discussion, and wrap up, led by Tom.
