Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.

Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects. For NBC holders, the

other two relevant subjects could be from any of Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.

Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject.

DIRECT ENTRY

(i) ABU accepts (a) NCE with passes at merit level in relevant

subjects.

(b) Two 'A' level passes in Accounting or Economics and any one other subject.

(c) Foundation of professional examination such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA.

(iii) COOU accepts ND/HND LOWER CREDIT or equivalent in relevant disciplines.

(iv) BIU, ADSU, UNIZIK, ABSU, MADONNA and COOU accept ND/NCE in the relevant fields. UNIZIK and ABSU also accept HND. UNIZIK and COOU accept ND/HND with at least a lower credit pass.

(v) RSUST accepts holders of the following qualifications for year II:-

(a) ND (Upper) in relevant fields or a Degree/HND not relevant to the field for admissions to 200 level;

(b) A Degree/HND relevant to the field for admissions to 300 level;

(vi) IMSU and PHC - No Direct Entry. (vii) UMUDIKE, ABSU and DELSU accept holders

of the following qualifications:- (a) Complete pass in the Intermediate ICAN

Examination or equivalents; and (b) Pass in final exams of the Chartered Institute

of Secretaries (except UYO and DELSU) plus UTME requirements.

(ix) EKSU, DELSU & UYO accept ND/HND in relevant fields not below Upper Credit level.

(CALABAR accepts HND at lower credit level plus UTME requirements. In addition, EKSU

Accounting, Business Management, plus Government and Geography or ICAN/ATS I, II and III.

(xii) UNIZIK and OOU require at least two ‘A’ level passes to include Accounting (or Economics for UNIZIK). UNIZIK and ESUTECH require that Direct Entry applicants possess UTME requirements.

(xiii) UNN accepts in addition to UTME requirement:

(a) HND/ND/NCE in relevant fields (c) Complete pass in Intermediate ICAN

examination or equivalents. (d) Pass in final exams of the Chartered

(xxxii) WELSPRING accepts NCE, ND, HND, IJMB, NABTEB A/L at merit/lower credit from recorgnised institutions, as well as foundation/intermediate passes at ICAN, ACCA, & ICMA.

(xxxiii) EVANGEL accepts two A’ level passes to include Economics or ND/NCE in addition to UTME requirements.

(xxxiv) MAKURDI accepts: a) Candidates should posses at least two GCE

(A’ level) passes or its equivalent in any of the following subject: Economics, Principles of Accounts, Marketing, Business Management, Geography, Government and Commerce plus UTME requirements.

b) Candidates with National Diploma at upper credit in relevant field shall be considered for Direct Entry into year two (2) provided they satisfy the 0’level requirements.

c) Candidates with HND upper credit can be admitted into year three (3) and those with lower credit can be admitted into year 2 provided they satisfy the 0’level requirements.

(xxxv) MCPHERSON accepts NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects, Foundation of professional examinations such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA or ND/ND Upper Credit in relevant field.

(xxxvi) EBSU accepts (a) HND, NCE/ND with passes at Merit level in

relevant fields. (b) AAT, Intermediate ACCA or ICAN or ATS final

certificate provided such candidate possesses 'O' level credit in English Language, Economics and Mathematics. ND must be in Upper credit level.

(xxxvii) JOS accepts: a) passes at IJMB in at least two subject one

UTME: (i) UYO requires credit in Economics. (ii) PHC does not accept commercial subjects

except Financial Accounting or Business. (iii) LAGOS requires five 'O' level credits to include

English language, Mathematics, Economics and any other Science, Social Science or Arts subject.

(iv) PHC does not accept Office Practice and Secretarial Studies.

(v) BIU accepts credit/merit in English language and Mathematics at TC II as 'O'/level equivalent.

(vi) OOU requires 'O' level credits in any 3 of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Government and Geography. IRK/CRK, Yoruba and History.

(vii) PLSU and CALABAR accept Commerce in place of Economics.

(viii) AUN same as in Finance

UTME: SUBJECTS: (i) OAU requires Principle of Account not

Commerce (ii) BSU requires Economics. (iii) CALABAR and IGBINEDION accept Commerce

in lieu of Economics. (iv) CALABAR does not accept CRK. (v) OOU does not insist on Economics. (vi) LAGOS accepts Economics, Mathematics and

any Science, Social Science or Arts subject. (vii) AUN same as in Finance. (viii) EVANGEL accepts Principles of Accounts in

lieu of Mathematics.

(vi) PHC, ESUTECH and UNIZIK require Direct Entry applicants to possess UTME requirements.

(vii) OOU accepts ‘A’ level passes in Economics and other subjects plus ‘O’ level credits in English lang. and Mathematics.

(viii) MCPHERSON and RSUST - Same as in Accountancy.

(ix) UNIZIK does not accept Geography. (x) EKSU accepts ND (Upper Credit) in relevant

subject. (xii) EBSU accepts ACIB, ND, NCE or HND passed at

merit level in relevant fields in addition to O’ ‘level requirement.

(xiv) IGBINEDION and CALABAR: as in Accounting. CALABAR does not accept IJMB/A' level/NCE.

(xv) AAUA accepts HND (Lower Credit) in Banking and Finance.

candidates to possess one of the following qualifications:

(a) Two GCE (A/L) passes or its equivalent in any of the following subjects; Government, History, Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Geography plus UTME requirement.

(b) Higher National Diploma of recognized institutions with a minimum of merit/lower credit level passes plus UTME requirement.

(d) Possession of Government is not a pre-requisite for 3 year Direct Entry candidates.

(xiii) BENIN requires in addition to O’ level requirements:

a. At least two Advance Level passes at the General Certificate of Education (GCE) or the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or any of their recognized equivalent at not more than two sittings. One of the two subjects should be Government or History.

b. National Diploma (ND) with at least Credit level pass in a relevant discipline from any recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology.

c. Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least a Credit level pass in Social Science subject from a recognized College of Education. In addition, such a candidate should have at least an Overall merit level pass.

d. A pass in the Associate Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrator (ACIS) Part I or Associate Institute of Bankers (AIB) Part I or Associate of Chartered Institute of Insurance (ACII)
