Behaviour Update

Classes in Years R, 3 and 6 are currently trialling an amended behaviour system. There have been some significant changes: so we aim to gather some initial feedback, and iron out any apparent problems, before we introduce it to the whole school community.

The main goals are:• to recognise children who are consistently well behaved• to quickly address unacceptable standards of behaviour, involving parents at

an earlier stage• to connect our current ‘Golden Time’ to a single system of rewards and

sanctions

There will be more details about the new system next term.

'A' Team Football Successes!

Congratulations to the 'A' Team who have won their last two league games.

17.3.10. Norwood 3 Larkfield 1

Team: Luke Dempster, Will Fletcher, Dan Edwards, Josh Young, Matty Howard, Simon Gradwell, Jack Spencer, Callum Roughley, Thomas Leddy, Dan Kelly. Goals from Jack Spencer and two goals from Matty Howard, who earned himself the Man of the Match award, was enough to seal a great victory. Well done boys, a super result.

18.3.10 Norwood 4 Farnborough 3Team: Luke Dempster, Will Fletcher, Chris Rimmer, Ryan Ashall, Charlie Gray, Dan Edwards, Matty Howard, Simon

Gradwell, Jack Spencer, Jamie Hough, Tom Stewart.Having lost 6 - 3 in the away fixture, this was a marvellous result for Norwood. Having led 1-0, with a goal by Ryan A, then 2-1, with a goal by Matty H, Farnborough equalised to make it 2-2. Norwood scored again to make it 3-2 with a stunning

individual goal by Chris R. Then a final goal by Matty H made it 4-2. Farnborough scored a consolation goal to give a final score of Norwood 4 Farnborough 3. What a win! Mrs Rigby was delighted. Man of the Match: Chris Rimmer

Norwood B V Kew Woods C 18/03/10 Result 2-2

A good start to the match by both teams, but Norwood got an even better start with a goal by Jordan Scutt. But it was a good comeback from Kew Woods to make it 1-1. Then Kew Woods scored another goal which took the score to 2-1. The pressure was rising for Norwood to score another goal, but then a miracle happened with a goal by Josh

Wright/Tom Leddy but we couldn't decide who scored.Man of the match, for his brilliant defending, David Berry.

Team: Alex Nevins (GK), David Berry, Liam Campbell, Tom Leddy (Captain), Joseph Edmunds, Errin Telford, Jake Hawkings, Josh Wright, Jack Wallbank, Sam Peet, Josh Watkins and Ben Mills. Well Done Norwood!

Reported by Ben Mills and Liam Campbell.

Norwood B 3-1 Churchtown 22/03/10

Everybody gave an all round excellent performance. No goals appeared in the first quarter of the game, but Norwood were very high on possession with some amazing passes by Errin Telford. Back in defence Tom Leddy and Ben Mills were on top form. In the second quarter Jack Wallbank scored giving Norwood the lead. Shortly after; Churchtown

scored a lucky goal, for an equaliser. Then, in the third quarter Norwood started to get the ball further down the pitch and kept possession. Suddenly, Tom Leddy's corner was headed into the goal by David Berry. Not long after, Tom Leddy ran all the way down the pitch to score a goal smashing it into the bottom corner. It was a well deserved win for Norwood. (Man of the match for a high energy performance, David Berry.)

Team: Alex Nevins (GK), David Berry (Captain), Tom Leddy, Ben Mills, Jordan Scutt, Liam Campbell, Joseph Edmunds, Errin Telford, Josh Watkins, Josh Wright, Jack Wallbank, Jake Hawkings, Sam Peet.
