APPLICATIONS
Welding of 570MPa high tensile strength steel for bridges, machinery andstructures.
CHARACTERISTICS
NITTETSU SF-60 is a rutile type seamless flux cored arc welding wire to be usedwith CO2 shield gas and was designed with emphasis on crack resistance in thewelding of thick plates. The diffusible hydrogen content is as low as that of solidwires and crack resistance is excellent even in the low heat input welding of thickplates.
GUIDELlNES FOR USAGE
1. Water, rust, paint and oil in groove should be removed completely since theymay cause low temperature cracks and blowholes.2. Select optimum welding parameters, heat input for example, in accordance
with plate thickness, welding position, etc. Excessive heat input may causelack of joint strength.
3. Preheating at 50~150C is required depending on plate thickness, restraint, heat input, etc.
4. For others, see GUIDELINES FOR USAGE 1~4 of NITTETSU SF-1.

APPLICATIONS
Welding of 780MPa high tensile strength steel for offshore structures, pressurevessels, penstocks and bridges.
CHARACTERISTICS
NITTETSUNB-250H is a bonded flux designed to minimize the diffusible
hydrogen content in weld metal and, therefore, crack resistance is extremely
high. Impact properties are excellent at low temperature and slag is easy to
remove even in narrow grooves.
GUIDELlNES FOR USAGE1. Flux should be redried at 250~350C for 60~120 minutes before use.
2. When flux is reused, care should be taken that alien things such as rust are
not mixed in with the flux.
3. Preheating at 100~150C is required.
