Third Sunday of Lent (Year A) Sunday, March 15, 2020 Today, the readings introduce us to the first symbol of Christian initiation: water. In the reading from Exodus, the people, freed from slavery and on their journey to freedom, protest against Moses because they are thirsty. The Gospel invites us to listen carefully to the dialogue between Jesus and the Samaritan woman. They meet in front of a well that will not fully satisfy anybody's thirst. As the narrative ensues, Jesus promises to satisfy the woman's thirst, and all who are thirsty, by offering her living water. The Samaritan woman, accustomed to drinking at the earthly well, has lived a life trapped in a dark past. Jesus frees the woman from her past by offering her water of eternal life. For catechumens, these readings become a great source of reflection, as they will soon be bathed in the waters of new life, baptism.
Hoy, las lecturas nos presentan el primer símbolo de la iniciación cristiana: el agua. En la lectura de Éxodo, las personas, liberadas de la esclavitud y en su viaje hacia la libertad, protestan contra Moisés porque tienen sed. El Evangelio nos invita a escuchar atentamente el diálogo entre Jesús y la mujer samaritana. Se encuentran frente a un pozo que no satisfará completamente la sed de nadie. A medida que se desarrolla la narración, Jesús promete satisfacer la sed de la mujer y a todos los que tienen sed, ofreciéndole agua viva. Stations of the Cross
We will have Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent at 6:00 pm. Please join us in this devotion as we commemorate the Passion and death of Jesus Christ and reflect on the paschal mystery.

Knights of Columbus Fish Fry The KC are having their annual Lent Fish Fry's after Stations of the Cross on Fridays. The dates will be March 6th, 13th, 20nd, 27th, and April 3rd. Adult plates will be 9.00 and 6.00 for children.

Lenten Reconciliation Reconciliation for the Lenten season will be held on March 20th (three additional priests) beginning at 5:45 pm (before and during Stations of the Cross). There will be bilingual priests assisting Fr. Ouseph.

March 15 No CCE Classes - Spring Break 22 Regular Day of Classes 9:15 am 29 Regular Day of Classes 9:15 am - CCE Picnic ATTENTION CCE PARENTS: All children are to be dropped off in the parish hall by 9:15am for CCE. All classrooms will remain locked until CCE teachers/helpers retrieve students from the parish hall. Children will not be allowed to wait outside classrooms before 9:15am. Once children are dismissed they are brought to the parish hall for pickup. This is to ensure the safety of all children and to follow Catholic Diocese Safety Environment requirements. If you have any questions please contact Irene Carbajal, Safety Environment Coordinator 830-534-6511. Dismissal for CCE is at 10:45am, please PARENTS BE ON TIME.
ATENCIÓN PADRES DE CCE: Todos los niños deben ser dejados en el salón parroquial a las 9:15 am.
