Unlike a musician, as an actor you only have one instrument towork with you learn to play it well and it will reward you withperformances other actors could only dream of... This fundamentalunderstanding underlies everything you will learn if you train with us.
If you are accepted into the Professional Actor Program, yoursuccess will rely on the investment you make in yourself, whichis why we give you a full year to develop your unique acting
personality, using the revolutionary Eric Morris system of studio-based training (acclaimed by Johnny Depp and Jack Nicholson).
You will immerse yourself in Physicality and Movement through theuse of Meyerhold BioMechanics and Expressive Body techniques .
Your extensive training will also include Screen Acting, Voice,
Feldenkrais and ACTTs unique Actor as Artist module that will helpyou release your creativity and artistic expression.
This Instrument conditioning work will enable you todeliver truthful performances full of energy, without fear orhesitation, and provides a solid foundation upon which to builda successful career.

Second Year Performance Practice
As you continue to stretch your skills through in-depth screentraining, you will also learn new and exciting stagecrafttechniques working with leading Australian and internationalGuest Directors supported by expert professional tutors.
In this production-heavy year you will concentrate on liveperformances to build stamina, develop physicality, strengthenthe voice and increase your flexibility to take on demanding
roles that will increase your future employment options in thiscompetitive industry.
You will undertake five different performance projects that willchallenge and develop you as a performer, including classic andcontemporary stage plays and a cabaret, culminating in a uniqueself-devised work called Shifting Points which uses all aspectsof the ACTT System.
By the end of second year you will have gained a broadrange of technical skills in readiness for your transition intothe Professional Practice year.

Third Year - Professional Practice
This year is the most intense, enjoyable and excitingyear of your training. It is also your transition year, whenyou are given the opportunity to present yourself in thebest possible light to the industry as a Professional Actor.
As you continue your rigourous acting, voice and movement
training, work under leading Guest Directors in two major,public stage productions and two professional Screen Actingprojects: Gaining experience on location working with aprofessional crew, and in the edit suite. This creates the mosthighly-praised Graduate Showreel in Australia and givesyou important exposure to Agents, Producers, Directors, themedia and other influential contacts.
By training at ACTT you will have benefited from the mostrigorous professional training available and you will be partof a vibrant community.
By completing this course you will have gained the
