The region is known for its array of unique
natural features and the islands are often
referred to as the Galapagos of British
Columbia. Access to the sand dunes and
beautiful beaches is only a few hundred feet
away on the opposite side of Tow Hill Rd by way
of two public accesses. For anyone who enjoys
nature and wildlife along with peace and quiet,
this is an excellent consideration. The area is
also very popular with those who enjoy fishing
and harvesting from the beaches and rich ocean
waters surrounding Haida Gwaii.
The Naikoon Provincial Park, an area of 72,640
hectares that takes in the entire northwest tip
of Graham Island, stretching down the eastern
shore is literally minutes from the property. At
times wonderful natural phenomena occur and
one can actually gather large swimming scallops
and razor clams right off the beach after
selective weather events. Masset Inlet and
Nadon Harbour, located slightly to the SW, are
prolific with Dungeness crab and the freshwater
systems throughout the island have world class
runs of steelhead and cutthroat.
Village of Masset is located 10 minutes away, a
small historic community that provides available
shopping, fuel, and moorage facilities, an
assortment of craft and gift stores and regularly
scheduled flights with Pacific Coastal airlines
and other regional carriers on a more seasonal
basis.
Queen Charlotte city, located approximately
1.5 hour drive down Island has regular
scheduled ferry service to Prince Rupert.
